Hey, I'm
Pratik
Mahalle.
I don't like AI. I just happen to work around it.
Open-source advocate at DrDroid, building useful things at the intersection of infrastructure × AI × developer experience.
01 / ABOUT
I like turning complex infrastructure problems into products, stories, and tools that developers actually want to use.
My work moves between platform engineering, DevRel, open source, and applied AI. I'm most at home when the problem is messy, the system is distributed, and the useful answer still needs finding.
After organising meetups and hackathons with Pune's developer community, I'm now based in Bengaluru — building with OpenTelemetry, experimenting with agentic tooling, and sharing what I learn.
A FEW THINGS
So far, I've been busy...
- 01
Building at the intersection of infrastructure, AI agents, and developer experience.
- 02
A member of the OpenTelemetry community, contributing to open-source observability.
- 03
Hosting After Hours by RelOps Studio — candid conversations about the parts of a tech career that rarely make the polished version.
- 04
Organised meetups and hackathons that brought Pune's developer community together.
- 05
Explaining complex infrastructure ideas through talks, writing, demos, and community work.
- 06
Exploring reliable interfaces between engineers, Kubernetes, and autonomous systems.
02 / SELECTED WORK
Things I've shipped.
Small tools, ambitious experiments, and infrastructure with opinions.
InfrAudit
A practical way to inspect infrastructure, surface risk, and turn noisy findings into an actionable engineering view.
OpsBot
An AI-powered SRE agent designed to help teams investigate incidents and move from signals to useful answers faster.
k8s-mcp
A Kubernetes MCP experiment that makes cluster context easier for AI tools to understand and act on.
Failproof Chaos
A red-team harness for pressure-testing AI policies against adversarial and unexpected behavior.
03 / RIGHT NOW
Currently curious about...
How we give autonomous systems enough context to be useful — and enough guardrails to be trusted. I'm writing code, breaking prototypes, and documenting the parts worth keeping.
